Michelle Borquez, Founder and Editor in Chief of BOSS Talk Magazine, Author of Walk Like a Boss, and Executive Director of BOSS Summit, was the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the nationally recognized, SHINE Magazine, a general interest publication, focused on spiritual, physical and emotional health, highlighting fashion and travel with beautiful award-winning photography, excellent life-giving articles, and practical solutions to many of the daily struggle’s women face.
In 2005 Michelle Hosted and Co-Produced I-Life Television’s ‘SHINE with Michelle Borquez” on I-Life network, and was the national spokesperson for Beth Moore’s “Loving Well” Television Ministry Special. Her books include: God Crazy, “Overcoming the Seven Deadly Emotions, The You Plan, Forever God Crazy” and the “Freedom Series.”
Shine was known for its glossy, high quality; editorial spreads with powerful stories of hope. Michelle’s role as Editor-in-Chief allowed for exclusive interviews with well-known personalities and ministry leaders, such as First Lady Laura Bush, Anne Graham Lotz, Michael W. Smith, Kurt Warner, Chuck and Gena Norris, Beth Moore, to name a few. During its 9-year season, SHINE Magazine, was distributed on newsstands nationally (Barnes and Noble, Borders, Family Christian, Lifeway) as well as to over 40,000 paid subscribers. SHINE’s continued growth, at a time when social media was nonexistent, was contributed to its overwhelming popularity in its niche and being the first magazine of its kind within the faith community.
Michelle currently lives in Tennessee and considers her greatest accomplishment raising her four very independent children, Joshua, Aaron, Madison and Jacob who are living out their purpose. Michelle’s youngest son, Jake, and daughter in love, Jules, gave her the gift of Jaxon Andrew and made her a proud Mae Mae.
