Running to Tell

So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. (Matthew 28:8, NIV)

At my house, it never fails. Whenever something exciting happens – making the team, getting an A on a test, getting a promotion – we can’t wait to tell each other!  When we get good news, we want to share it.

Apparently, the women who found Jesus’ empty tomb felt the same way.  Matthew tells us they hurried – they ran – to tell the other disciples.

The good news I’ll be sharing on Sunday is that Jesus lives, and he has made a way for us to live in heaven for eternity.  Don’t you know someone who needs to hear that message?  The truth is, only 2% of churchgoers will invite someone to church this Easter.  But 56% of those who are asked will say yes.  Them’s pretty good odds.

In a world full of bad news, you’ve got great news to share.  Stop by your neighbors’ house and invite them to church.  Shoot your friend a text and see if she has plans.  Go to the church FB page (https://www.facebook.com/newlifechurchdenton/ ) and share with your friends the invitation we’ve created.  It is easy.

Remember, we have different service times this week:

  • Good Friday, 6-7 p.m.
  • Easter: Robson Ranch 8:30 a.m.
  • Easter: Denton 9:00 a.m.
  • Easter: Denton 10:30 a.m.
  • Easter Egg Hunt follows this last service.

Can’t wait to see you and share this good news!
