Encounter
Pre-Encounter and Post-Encounter
Encounter is a three-step process that takes new believers to the cross (four-week pre-encounter course), through the cross (Encounter Retreat), and then teaches them how to walk with the cross (seven-week post-encounter course). Each step in the Encounter is vitally important to your journey with the Lord. By registering for Encounter you are making a commitment to the entire process.
What is an Encounter Retreat?
We believe that the first step in becoming a disciple is to be “free indeed.” Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32 NIV).
An Encounter Retreat is a weekend short course in freedom – freedom from habits, bondages, bitterness, wrong thoughts, and past mistakes. At the Encounter, the Lord will set you free through the power of the cross.
Who will be there?
Each Encounter is led by New Life staff, leaders and trained assistants. Each Encounter is gender specific.
Where and when is the Encounter Retreat held?
